Gissa Rahme

Ms. Gissa Rahme is the co-owner and partner of Leiter Rahme Avocats/Attorneys Inc.

She specializes in Canadian and American immigration law. While her law practice is headquartered in Montreal, Canada, she travels to assist clients when needed and to give support to the firm’s partner offices in the Middle East and the Gulf.

Ms. Rahme successfully completed a double major program in law and molecular biotechnology at the University of Sherbrooke in 2010. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) and a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biotechnology and Law (M.B.M.D.; LL.M.). She has also earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.), North American Common Law Degree, from the University of Montreal.

Ms. Rahme is a member of the Quebec and New York State Bar.

In addition, Ms. Rahme is a member of the Quebec Association of Immigration Lawyers (AQAADI), an organization aiming to improve the practice of immigration law in Quebec and allowing better representation of its members before political, judicial and administrative institutions dealing with federal and provincial immigration. Ms. Rahme was also recognized by her peers as being a leader and pioneer in her field within the framework of the gala “The Leaders of Tomorrow”, promoted by the Young Bar Association of Montreal (YBAM).

Ms. Rahme regularly participates in conferences held by the Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), the Quebec Association of Immigration Lawyers (AQAADI), and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), which allows her to remain in the foreground of changes in immigration law and to contribute to the advancement of her field.

Throughout her carrier, Ms. Rahme has gained invaluable experience with all aspects of U.S. and Canadian immigration law, particularly in the field of business and family immigration, temporary work permits, cross border issues, as well as lifting grounds of inadmissibility (Waivers and Rehabilitation). Her knowledge and expertise in both Canadian and U.S. immigration law has enviably put her amongst a small elite group of lawyers that can assist clients around the world with their Canadian and American immigration goals.

Ms. Rahme is often called a “Lateral Thinker”.
